How do I shop at Kidzeboo?

You can shop at Kidzeboo once you become a member.

Membership is FREE and as a Kidzeboo member you can buy items, sell items or give your child's old and unwanted items away for FREE.

You can add any item listed on Kidzeboo to your Cart at anytime and complete any order once you Log into your Kidzeboo account.

How can I view my Cart?

A

When you add an item to your Cart, an overview over the number of items presently in your Cart can be seen in the orange tab the top right corner of any page.

Selecting the orange tab that displays the number of items in your Cart displays your Cart overview.

Alernatively you can go directly to your Cart.

How can I pay for items I want to purchase?

A

If you opt to pay for one or more items in your Cart, then the Checkout button in your Cart is enabled and you may proceed to the Checkout to choose your preferred form of payment and complete your purchase.

Kidzeboo offers members the ability to pay for any item using My Kidzeboo Wallet, PayPal, or any major credit card, including AMEX, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

Can Kidzeboo tell me when items are listed that I am looking for?

Absolutely.

If you are looking for a specific item, product or brand then you can save your search and be informed whenever an item matches your search criteria is listed. Even if no items currently match your requirements.

In My Account Settings you may set the frequency you wish to receive notifications whenever a new item that meets your saved search is listed.

Your saved searches can be found at My Saved Searches so you can easily manage, pause or remove active and previously saved searches.

In addition to notifications, you can choose to share My Saved Searches in social media to let friends and family know what you are searching for.

Kidzeboo can help you shop for the things you need because shopping should be fun not time consuming.

Should I sell my item or give it away?

A

Considering whether to sell or give an item away is really a personal choice.

Sometimes members simply want to clearout closet space and wardrobes and want to giveaway children's things for FREE.

On other occasions, items may be damaged or be beyond repair but still have value. In such cases, choosing to give your item away is a great way to allow another child to get use out of old and cherished items.

If you feel your item is still valuable then you should consider listing your item for sale.

How do I sell an item on Kidzeboo?

Selling items on Kidzeboo is easy.

Simply Log into your account and select Sell Kidz Stuff.

The Sell Kidz Stuff Wizard helps you through listing your item and ensures you complete the necessary details required to list your item and make it easy for other members to find.

What is the difference between a Standard Item and a Featured Item?

A

Whenever you list an item for sale on Kidzeboo you always have the option to make your item a Featured Item or to list your item as a Standard Item.

As a Standard Item your item is available for everyone to search and find and to all Kidzeboo members to purchase.

As a Featured Item your item is the same as a Standard Item only in addition, your item is featured on the home page of Kidzeboo where it will gain greatest attention, viewings and traffic.

When should I consider listing an item as a Featured Item?

A

If you have an item you wish to sell quickly or have an expesnive item that you feel deserves or may require a little extra attention in order to sell you should consider making your item a Featured Item.

As a Featured Item you can choose how long you wish your item to be promoted.

How long is my item searchable for members to buy?

A

Whenever you list an item on Kidzeboo it remains active for 90 days or until the item is purchased.

Is the price I am asking for my item realistic?

A

The best way to set the price of your item is to compare your item with other similar items listed on Kidzeboo.

Comparing details such as condition and warranty, you can get a good indication of the market value of your item.

What happens if my item does not sell?

A

If your item does not sell it is usually because you set your Asking Price too high compared to other similar items.

To avoid not selling your item you can set a Reserve Price when listing your item. A Reserve Price is a minimum price that you are willing to accept for your item.

By setting a Reserve Price, in the event that your item has still not sold and there is an hour or less of your listing remaining, then your Asking Price is replaced by your Reserve Price.

Any member watching your item will be alerted to the near expiration of your item and the price reduction of the item to automatically help you sell your item before your listing expires.

Why should I give away stuff on Kidzeboo?

A

Our children usually outgrow their strollers, nursery furniture, clothes, toys and games, faster than these items wear out. As a result, many of your child's old and cherished items can be sold providing you with valuable extra income.

But there may be items that you feel are damaged, perhaps faded, worn, broken or have pieces missing that seemingly make them worthless.

However, items which may seem worthless may have great value to another.

By choosing to give away your child's old things on Kidzeboo, rather than throwing them away, you can clear closet space and best of all help other parents perhaps less fortunate or with limited budgets to get items for their child that can bring joy and happiness and renewed life to your child's once loved and cherished old things.

Choosing to give away items to members in your area means that any parent interested in your item should come to collect the item from you.

What shipping options should I consider for my item?

A

When considering which shipping option to offer on your item you should always choose the shipping option that's most convenient for you and your expected buyer.

If you wish to sell your item internationally a courier service usually allows you to print out shipping decals and labels from their website and will collect the item from your door.

If you choose instead to offer your item to domestic buyers only then national postal services provide a range of postage options at varying rates.

Why would I use a courier service?

A

Courier services such as DHL or FedEX can be an alternative to national postal services whenever you wish to ship your items internationally.

Courier services provide real-time tracking of items as well as customs clearance and signature proof of delivery. These options can help your buyer see the location of their purchase and remove the burden of completing customs paperwork in order to receive their item.

While courier services are often slightly more expensive than national postal services, for international buyers, the advantages they provide can often outweigh the additional shipping costs.

Is there any circumstances when I might not want to ship my item?

There can be many instances when you do not wish to ship your item.

For example, a baby's cot or large stroller may be more expensive to ship than it is worth. Or the additional shipping costs of large, heavy items may increase the total price of the item and put off potential buyers.

As shipping costs are added to the Asking Price of your item you should always consider the total cost of shipping and your Asking Price in order to remain competitively priced against other similar items.

What shipping options are there when selling to local buyers?

When you sell an item to local buyers no shipping options are offered on your item.

If you choose to sell your item to local buyers only then the item is offered as Collection Only.

Selling items to local buyers means the buyer is responsible for coming to collect and pay for the item in person.

Why would I offer Free Postage and Packaging?

A

If you choose to sell and ship your item either to domestic (nationally) or international (worldwide) buyers then you can choose to offer Free Postage and Packaging (FREE P&P).

Every buyer expects to pay a fair price for shipping, but you may want to distinguish your item from other competing items by offering FREE P&P.

Whenever you choose to offer FREE P&P on your item you should ensure that the Asking Price of your item includes your cost of shipping as the buyer will only be paying for the Asking Price of your item.

Why should I create my profile?

A

Your profile allows members and potential buyers to learn more about you and feel safe about who you are and where you are.

A profile builds trust and reassurance and provides details that allow other members to contact you and ask questions about your items, arrange collection or make connection with you and forge potential friendships and local parent groups.

How do I create my profile?

A

By simply selecting Create My Profile, or Edit My Profile, if you have previously completed and saved details within the profile section.

The Profile Wizard is split into easy to navigate sections that let you complete the amount and level of profile information you want to share with other parents and members of Kidzeboo.

Is all the information I enter into my profile shared with other members?

A

No.

Actually a great deal of the details and information in your profile is not for other members at all. They are for you to help you maximise your use and value on Kidzeboo.

For example, My Family, allows you to enter the names and birth dates of your children.

These details allow you to create Brithday Wishlists, Christmas Wishlists and other gift Wishlists that you can share with your own family members and friends to make gift purchases easy and simply for you and your family.

Where can people see my profile?

Every time you list an item for sale a brief overview of your profile is presented. This allows members to see at a glance who is selling the item.

A link to your Kidzeboo User Name will take the member to your public profile page where the details you opt to share with other members can be seen.

Can contact details of my profile be found in Google and search engines and by users who aren't members of Kidzeboo?

No.

Only members who have an account and are logged in can see your contact details.

Your contact details cannot be displayed to none members or search engines to protect your privacy.

Can I hide my contact details from members?

A

Yes of course. But why would you want to?

You have full control over your profile and profile details.

By default only Kidzeboo members that are logged in can contact you or see your contact details.

Through your account settings you can decide which contact details you wish to enter and which contact details you wish to share with other members.

For example, your cell/ mobile phone details, to allow members to send you an SMS or call to arrange collection of an item.

Your email address to allow members to send you questions about an item.

Your social media contact details to allow members with who you have contact to potentially become friends and join local parent groups.

At Kidzeboo you always have complete control so you decide what you want to share and with who.

How do I change or update my Log In details?

A

Nothing is more important to us than security.

Certain aspects of your profile, such as your account password, account email address and linked PayPal account details are all sensitive information that you should never share with anyone.

In order to edit or update these details you are prompted to completed your security question.

The first time you make changes to My Account we recommend that you may set your security question to add an extra layer of security to your account.

Setting your security question allows you can confirm your identity when required in order to make changes to sensitive account details.

Why should I add a PayPal account to my Kidzeboo profile?

A

Kidzeboo is The Social Marketplace For Parents who wish to shop, sell and giveway their child's old, used and cherished things.

As a global community we have to work with a global standard that allows every member of Kidzeboo to pay and get paid.

PayPal is a mobile banking platform that allows users for example in the USA to pay and get paid by members from the UK, or from Australia.

Whereas your bank requires IBAN and international SWIFT codes to make cross border and international payments, with PayPal you only need your email address.

For these reasons Kidzeboo allows every member to link their PayPal account to their Kidzeboo profile in order to be able to withdraw payments made to them by other Kidzeboo members.

You are not required to have a PayPal account to make payments on Kidzeboo and if you also only wish to sell items locally to other Kidzeboo members then you will receive payment on collection. However, for members wishing to sell their items nationally (domestic) and internationally (worldwide), linking your PayPal account will allow you to withdraw your funds and monies.

My Kidzeboo Wallet allows you to save time and money when paying for items on Kidzeboo.

How does My Kidzeboo Wallet work?

A

My Kidzeboo Wallet allows you to transfer funds from your PayPal account or any major credit card to your Kidzeboo Account.

PayPal and credit card companies charge transaction fees for every payment you make. In other words, the more individual payments you make the more additional charges you pay.

With My Kidzeboo Wallet you can transfer and hold any amount in your wallet to allow you to list and sell items with No Transaction Fees Or Charges.

How exactly can My Kidzeboo Wallet save me money?

Imagine over the next coming weeks you wish to list and sell 25 items in your FREE Family Store.

The cost of listing each item on Kidzeboo is just $1, but the total cost for 25 individual transactions by PayPal or your credit card issuer is $34. That's an extra $9 in transaction fees.

PayPal charges $0.30 per transaction in addition to your credit card issuer charges (2.9%).

By using My Kidzeboo Wallet, you can transfer $25 from either PayPal or your credit card and sell the same 25 items. But the difference in using My Kidzeboo Wallet is that your total transaction fees are just $1 so you save $8 for listing the same 25 items.

So simply by listing 25 items you have already saved $8. Which means $8 more in your pocket or the ability to sell 8 more additional items for FREE!

To complete payments from your PayPal account you need to log into your PayPal account or confirm the payment and details of your order.

To complete your payments using your credit card issuer means you have to enter and confirm your credit card details every time you make an individual payment.

If you were selling 25 separate items you would need to log into PayPal or enter your credit card details 25 times to process each of these individual payments.

Why did you create Kidzeboo?

As parents, we became frustrated at not being able to find a web site or online service that focused on our needs and the challenges we face with parenting.

Sites such as Ebay are ideal for selling larger single items, but at a premium cost, with combined Ebay and PayPal commissions totalling 12.5%.

The majority of our children's wardrobes and toy cupboards contain smaller items and so paying commissions for the sale of these items often meant in many instances that it was meaningless and simplier to just donate them instead to local charity shops.

We wanted to create a platform that was much more interactive and social than Ebay, or any other online marketplace, and allow parents searching, shopping, selling or wishing to give away items to be able to do so without the need to pay commissions to be able to do it.
